HUAWEI E15 50 HSDPA USB Stick device ID to be reported to Linux USB developers

I have a HUAWEI E15 50 HSDPA USB Stick

When I plug it in, the journal shows:

The lack of support for deviceid 12d1:1001 in the linux serial driver option is not an usb_modeswitch bug.
