i got the same problem on 12.04:

[24881.575486] usb-creator-gtk[19356]: segfault at 4 ip 00007f2240e286e0 sp 00007fffb2848e38 error 6 in libdbus-1.so.3.5.8[7f2240e04000+42000]

only when starting with "gksudo usb-creator-gtk"

it works when i start without sudo, type in the password when it is requested. but when i wait too long on bootloader installation, it fails.

when will there be a fix for this issue?
