Bug Description
Binary package hint: usb-creator
Ubuntu 10.10
usb-creator-gtk:
Installed: 0.2.25
Candidate: 0.2.25
Version table:

When creating a boot usb, the tool fails silently to write the boot partition of the USB drive if it does not have permission. Running "gksudo usb-creator-gtk" solves this issue and correctly generates a bootable usb.
Expected: usb-creator-gtk should request privilege escalation if not started with sufficient permissions

Is likely the same issue, but there wasn't nearly enough information there to be sure.
