Binary package hint: usb-creator

When started from the menu USB Creator never creates a bootable USB stick. It fails immediatly as it does not ask for root access. When started in a root shell it crashes every time about 80% of the way through.

Well, "mee too" on Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 2 64 bit. Trying to create a 12.04 Beta 2 32 bit usb boot stick.
Problem as stated above:
1) Fails immediately without root permissions
2) Crashes when started with sudo at different percentages
