Bug Description
Binary package hint: usb-creator
Dear Developers,
Unfortunately, usb-creator-gtk is full unuseable my full updated Lucid system.
I have got a Toshiba Satelite L300 notebook.
Usb-creator-gtk produces various simptoms:
When I using usb-creator-gtk with normal way, when I click make startup disk button, my entire system is freezed. I not see any useful information the .usb-creator.log file. Only help when I kill X Server with Ctrl+Alt+Backspace and logged in again. Impossible do after freeze another task, for example impossible to restart my Orca Screen Reader, see Orca flat review command what happening the screen. Very interesting, the used CD is not spinning after short time. Usb-creator-gtk begin copying some little files, but not finished the task.
I using an Ubuntu Lucid live CD and a 2GB Kingston Data Traweler USB pendrive.
I need usb-creator-gtk application, because if I known right, this is only a simple accessible way if I would like make an USB startup disk with my Asus EEEPC701 netbook.
Only work way if I go to my old Jaunty system and do this system the USB startup disk now. Very interesting, same live CD, same pendrive works right this system and boot correct my netbook.
The second simptomn: usb-creator-gtk is some time crash with sigsegv, I report this problem with another bugreport with this day morning.
If you need another information, I try help you.
Attila

It could be an issue with the CD Drive on the system you are using. Can you try a different (external drive) or perhaps simply point to a .iso image file somewhere and see if the same thing occurs?
