Bug Description

Binary package hint: usb-creator

Would like to burn a new CD from an .iso image. Booting from a CD of Ubuntu 8.10 without doing the install, the system will not allow me to eject the media to burn a new one. So, I am trying to create USB boot system. Then booting from it would allow burning of new CD / DVD. Not sure what to try next.

I have no clue what went wrong with the "Create a USB Startup Disk" package. I used the Partition Editor to create two partitions on the 8GB stick. First was 1000 MB, second was the rest. Both formatted as FAT32.

Further details if / when I discover a path around the various hangups.

Just noticed the period in front of the log file name. It is attached. The many attempts all failed.

Minor issue with the attach a file option. 'All files' buttonedoes not show files prefixed with period.

I seem to get this error when trying to create a USB boot device running from the live disk. After starting it, it stops after a few seconds or around 3%. The usb i am using is a 2gb Jetflash V10 trancend. I was able to create a x64 boot usb from my laptop but i need x86 for work.
