Bug Description

Binary package hint: usb-creator

I just tried the usb-creator with the Kubuntu 8.10 Live final CD and first it looked like it was working as a progress bar poped up, but first I noticed it was taking a while. In total it took an hour for a CD image which seems very slow to me. Then when I booted up using the USB I just got an error telling me to remove all media and press enter to restart. Any time I pressed enter it would just give the same error. I then checked the contents of the USN thumb drive and it looks like it is empty; no files at all.

I am using Kubuntu 8.10 Beta with a almost brand new 8GB thumb drive with the most updated USB-Creator.

Is this still an issue for you in the releases version?

I used the USB creator in Ubuntu and received a different error that I reported in a different bug. It should be safe to close this bug now if you like.
