Bug Description

Binary package hint: usb-creator

Running usb-creator 0.1.6 from the command line on an intrepid i386 system results in a python traceback.

$ usb-creator

(process:12162): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
 Using the fallback 'C' locale.
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/usb-creator", line 37, in <module>

    The affected system does not have Ubuntu Desktop installed. As much as anything, I suspect a missing dependency.

Retesting, installing ubuntu-minimal was insufficient to launch usb-creator. After installing ubuntu-desktop, usb-creator launched correctly. As a result, I'm certain this is caused by a missing dependency (although I've no idea which).

Err. Rather, not entirely successfully. One appears to need an activated gconf daemon, and usb-creator crashes rather than providing a report that it cannot access gconf. Anyway, that's probably a different bug: I'll stop adding stuff here.

The direct missing dependency here is gksu.
