Error erasing device when there is gpt partition table

Bug Description

Steps to reproduce:
1. prepare an usbstick with gpt partition table any at least one partition, this can be done with gparted
2. erase the usbstick with usb-creator-gtk or usb-creator-kde

Expected result:
The usbstick is successfully erased

Actual result:
An error message is popped up:
