Bug Description

Tried to make a bootable USB key from daily build of quantal (quantal-desktop-amd64.iso from 2012-10-07 8am) running quantal beta with all updates as of 2012-10-07 12am.

The application got to "Installing Boot Loader..." and then crashed.

I don't think this is really a duplicate of that specific bug. Meanwhile I was able to create the bootable USB key by starting usb-creator-gtk with root priviledges from a terminal. Then I recognized, that starting the program through the Dash it never asked for my password.
