usb-creator-gtk pulls in Unity and Compiz on Xubuntu (and probably Kubuntu, Lubuntu etc. as well)

Bug Description
Today, my update manager on Xubuntu 12.10 wanted to pull in Unity and Compiz. I found out that it was caused by usb-creator-gtk's dependency on gir1.2-unity-5.0, which apparently now depends on libunity9, which in its turn depends on unity-common, causing Compiz and Metacity to be pulled in.
Anyway, for all Ubuntu derivatives, this is incredibly annoying. If possible, the dependency on gir1.2-unity-5.0 should be removed, or at least downgraded to a suggestion, to avoid such behaviour in the future. And, more importantly, to avoid this hitting 12.04 LTS as well. For now, I have purged usb-creator-common and usb-creator-gtk and use Unetbootin in its place. I'd rather have some Qt libs than half of GNOME and Unity installed.
