Bug Description

Binary package hint: ureadahead

My boot time has risen from 20-25 sec to about 35 sec after a clean install of Natty. I am not sure if it's ureadahead but i suspect it. In the dmesg i attach you can see a jump:

[ 3.087606] EXT4-fs (sda1): mounted filesystem with ordered data mode. Opts: (null)
[ 15.292831] <30>udev[308]: starting version 167

I have Ext4 on root and BTRFS on /home partition. Could that be an explanation?

Feel free to ask for more info and i will provide it as best as i can.

I have the same problem - the boot time has almost doubled, and a similiar jump from 4.71 to 21.15
But I still have ext3 file systems.
There are other big time gaps, too: from 22.38 to 32.53, and from 37.72 to 48.38 (I suspect the last one to be a different problem, though).

See attached dmesg.

Any ideas?
