not all files in /home not profiled/traced

manually forcing ureadahead to trace again by doing:

sudo ureadahead --force-trace

And then launch firefox

Expected:

`sudo ureadahead --dump --sort=path` contains files in the firefox profile in $HOME

Actual:

the trace dump does not contain any files in the firefox profile

Some files are traced though, such as:
/home/khc/.pulse/c477da1d872711b9c0dfff65486e67e1-runtime/pid
/home/khc/.purple/plugins/pidgin-libnotify.so
/home/khc/.xinput.d/en_US

but nothing else is.

Thanks for the report.

After doing this, could you run "sudo ureadahead --dump" and attach the output -- also could you attach the contents of /sys/kernel/debug/tracing/trace

I have a hunch that the missing files are relative paths, which requires an improved kernel patch (I actually have a proposed one from Michael Meeks @ Novell around somewhere)

I noticed some output by ureadahead --force-trace:
ureadahead:tracing_enabled: Ignored relative path
ureadahead:tracing_enabled: Ignored relative path
ureadahead:events/fs/open_exec/enable: Ignored relative path
ureadahead:events/fs/do_sys_open/enable: Ignored relative path
