init: Unable to send message: Connection refused

I would guess this is a packaging issue; presumably the new upstart-based /sbin/init cannot send "reboot now" messages to the old sysvinit-based version.

Use "sudo reboot"

Changed in upstart:
status: Unconfirmed → Rejected
