slow restart on thinkpad

Bug Description

dist: jaunty

Hallo, when I restart my laptop, the usplash disapper and then, there is message on screen like "restarting computer"
but that message is here long time about 10 second, and then restart is proccesed

on lucid and maverick it is occurred

Vista without lenovo drivers does it same

I think Z (led sign) should turn off and screen too, but now, led is on and on screen, there is inactive latest image (splash screen)

Hello pavolzetor.
Can you please open a terminal, enlarge it and type:
sudo shutdown -n
and take a photo to attach here so we can see in wich point it freeze ?

/var/log/syslog
/var/log/dmesg
/var/log/kern.log

then run in a terminal
apport-collect -p upstart 372684

Marking Importance of Low, as this only so far has seemed to affect 1 user, and 10 seconds actually isn't that long if you have a lot of data to write to the disk.

Also, Pavol, if you are still affected by this, can you switch on info level logging from upstart before a restart. In a terminal:

sudo initctl log-priority info

And then attach the resulting /var/log/daemon.log (just the pieces from after the reboot, please)

hmm, also windows vista it takes about 5 sec to restart, computer doesn't write anything to disk
I think it is something with bios
