2013-02-28 14:56:08 Matthew Paul Thomas update-notifier (Ubuntu): status New Triaged
2013-02-28 14:56:45 Matthew Paul Thomas description Binary package hint: update-notifier Whenever resume my computer from hibernating (over night or more) I get the "The update information is outdated" warning. Yes, of course it is outdated--the computer was off. If I update manually, it goes away, even if there were no new updates to install. Update-notifier needs to be aware of this common scenario and not present a warning, because this is normal behaviour. Instead, it should trigger an automatic update once it regains a network connection. Basically, update-manager should treat suspend/hibernate identically to the computer being off. This may be related to bug #392603. Binary package hint: update-notifier Whenever resume my computer from hibernating (over night or more) I get the "The update information is outdated" warning.
