Preferences should allow for custom "check for updates" frequency

Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-notifier

The minimum frequency is one day. Can we patch for hourly or custom time?

Suggest wishlist importance.

I think Jon wanted it built into the update-notifier preferences/settings. MVO should take over from here. It's Triaged, marking as such.
