update-notifier crashed with SIGSEGV in g_cclosure_marshal_VOID__VOID()

Binary package hint: update-notifier

I manually ran the update-notifier, it put a light bulb icon in the tray reminding me (for the 10th time) to add the "user switcher" applet to the panel. I clicked on the light bulb icon and closed the dialog. The dialog froze and then update-notifier segfaulted.
I am running jaunty alpha 6 and update-notifier 0.76.6. My system was up-to-date as of 10:00pm PDT 3/25/09.
