Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

Manually starting update-manager (System -> Administration -> Update Manager) shows that there are quite a few updates to install, as one would expect when following a alpha release. However, there does not appear to be a notification icon any longer. I've confirmed this with another user testing jaunty.

Please let me know if I can provide any additional information.
