popup should disappear if the message is acted upon

Bug Description

Update notifier sits in the menu-bar and pops up a message if it notices there are upgrades available.

The wording guides the user to click on the icon. When the icon is clicked, the upgrade window appears. However the message guiding the user still to click the icon remains until it times out after (a rather long...) 60 seconds or so:

This is fixed in the current version in dapper.
