update-notifier (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

How to reproduce problem:
- click on the update-notification icon in the panel
- enter correct password
- close the dialog again
- an error dialog pops up saying "/usr/bin/update-manager couldn't be run as
root. subprocess exited with status 144" (Note: this is translated from german
so it's not exact to the point).

This happens always when I open update-manager from panel icon. However I don't
get this when starting the update-manager from menu.

Running breezy and update-notifier-0.40.6 and update-manager-0.37.1+svn20050404.10.

This bug should be fixed with the upload of libgksu1.2_1.3.1-1ubuntu5. Please
reopen if that update dosn't fix it for you.
