Should notify new distribution release and maybe update sources.list

Is it possible for update-notifier to notify when new distribution release is ready, and offers the
possibility to update sources.list ?

When Breezy is finalized, Hoary users will have "New distribution version is available" and have the
possbility to update their sources.list.

It's more user friendly than editing sources.list by hand or editing distribution field into synaptic.

This was planed for breezy but didn't made it:

New distro releases are detected, but it does only tell that to the user, it
does not do anything autoamtic so far.

This is fixed in dapper now. We have a mechanism to do dist-upgrades now.
