Wrong distro name reported available for upgrade

"New *Ubuntu* release '12.04 LTS' is available" offered as an upgrade instead of "New *Lubuntu* release '12.04 LTS' is available".
This does not effect the upgrade procedure but, has caused confusion as to what the result will be, Ubuntu or Lubuntu.

It has nothing to do with Lubuntu but with ALL the other variants, just like Xubuntu. Why? I think, IMHO, because all share the same core system. Not sure if it is possible to fix but I do hope so because it caused so much confusion.

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Is this not the same reason Ubuntu shows up in grub rather than the actual distro name?

Yes, I'm pretty sure it's the same reason; Lubuntu is just a variant of Ubuntu and uses the same core systems. This is why it says "Ubuntu 12.04" instead of "Lubuntu 12.04".

I don't think this will ever be changed as long as both Lubuntu and Ubuntu share the same 'core' system. Having that said, I am not sure if it is good idea to keep this bug and not mark it as invalid.
