Bug Description
While upgrading a 32-bit VirtualBox VM from 11.10 to 12.04 Beta 1, I got a pop-up with the following error messages
Could not install '/var/cache/
symbolic link '/usr/lib/
NB: this bug report is being filed on the 3.0.0 kernel because of 946100.
Synaptic shows update-manager-core 1:0.156.6 in the list of upgradeable packages, but I get the same error when I try to install it.
