Bug Description

Hi everyone

I use to run RC in LibreOffice and remove the "old" packages before by using "sudo apt-get remove libreoffice*.*"
It worked pretty well so far until yesterday when after the uninstalling a problem occur. I started to install the new RC1 in the terminal and all I got was an error massage that the "libreoffice3.5-dict-en needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find a archive for it"

Whatever I tried afterwards, nothing worked. I can't open "synaptic" anymore, can't update or upgrade the system, neither the language support works anymore, removing all existing libreoffice programs led just to the same massage.

Thanks for all your help in advance!

Krgds

Hi everyone

I have solved this problem but it might not be the best way more like a workaround!
However, I erased everything on my computer that had the name "libreoffice3.5*" in nautilus. Thereafter did I follow this instruction http://itechlog.com/linux/2008/12/18/fix-broken-package-ubuntu/ ( $ sudo gedit /var/lib/dpkg/status ) to get rid of the alarms what worked pretty well.

Afterwards all was back, the update-manager & synaptic etc.

Finally, I removed LibreOffice 3.4.5 (my backup) and installed LibreOffice 3.5.1 RC1
