Bug Description
Lucid to Precise upgrade main all i386/amd64
Lucid upgrades but not completely and the resulting system shows that it is still Lucid (lsb_release, kernel, version of python)
The upgrade finish without error.
Logs are attached as artefacts to the result of the jenkins job.
bug about apt-term.log that shows only packages being removed is bug 940240

I disabled the code that captures debconf prompts - comment the line DebconfLog from profile/ default. cfg.d/default. cfg - and this error is not triggered.
I didn't try yet but we should be able to trigger this bug with a manual upgrade of main using the following command: FRONTEND= editor EDITOR= "cat>/tmp/ debconf. log" do-release-upgrade -d
