update-manager crashed with SIGABRT in raise()

Bug Description

Started update manager to install todays updates.It told me not all updates could be installed some packages held back(compbiz and lib) and run a partial upgrade.While running the upgrade.I got an error message."can't guess meta packages" couldn't find unubtu-desktop.and to install it.I removed the ubuntu-desk top.ran the up date in the terminal,same packages held back ten I reinstalled ubuntu-desktop,rebooted,run update manager.I was told to run a partial upgrade.then update manager crashed
