Cannot use Update-Manager

When I run Update-Manager , it cannot install any update:

The message I recieve is:

E:Unable to synchronize mmap - msync (5: Input/output error), E:The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

Please, what can I do?

Try running this and see if it clears up the issue:

sudo apt-get clean

then...

sudo apt-get update

E: Hay problemas sincronizando el archivo - sync (5: Error de
entrada/salida)
E: No se pudieron analizar o abrir las listas de paquetes o el archivo
de estado.

Ok, run this:

sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* -vf

and.....

sudo apt-get update
