The first failure in the log is

dpkg: error: dpkg status database is locked by another process
which means that there was some other package operation in parallel.
This failure then triggered failures of libpam-modules-bin, procps, udev, etc. If you just re-attempt the update with
sudo apt-get -f install
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
it should recover. However, the interesting question is how it could happen that there is another dpkg running in parallel. This is either a dpkg or perhaps an update-manager bug.
