Bug Description

System upgrade via update-manager failed. I presume this is because my wireless card ("Broadcom BCM4315") is not properly natively supported and had to be 3rd party patched to work.

I suppose I should have plugged in the wire before I attempted the upgrade to maintain network connectivity, but it's too late for that now. I am also locked out of all other logins and any sudo attempts fail. On the terminal I cannot log in as myself, my auxiliary user or as root. I cannot sudo to root or my auxiliary user either.
