Bug Description

even after searching the web for errors of a similar sort no fixes are correcting the issue. It just wont upgrade.

According to your logs, it seems that "playonlinux" has some dependency problems. You can try to uninstall it, try the upgrade again, and reinstall it back if the upgrade completes.

Uninstalled rebooted and still no dice her are the last logs

obsolete video drivers are holding back the upgrade.
Could you please attach the files /var/lib/dpkg/status and /var/log/dist-upgrade/apt-clone_system_state.tar.gz to this report. Thanks.

Here are those files. I had tried once to uninstall my video drivers and reset it to the generic driver and it didn't seem to take but I think I missed doing something when I did it.

would the video driver also be wat is causing any random GUI lockups? I will be doing various tasks of any sort and out of no where everything with the GUI locks up and I have to reboot with the power switch. The switch will shut it down as I have set up in the system but the mouse and keyboard no longer respond to input.
