Bug Description

It was processing the upgrade to Ocelot and I got a window that said "'ubuntu-minimal' cannot be found anywhere. Report using 'ubuntu-bug update-manager' in a terminal and include files from /var/log/dist-upgrade'".
How do I attach these files to this report?
Did you get them all, or only the last log file I selected?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug to improve Ubuntu. However, to further investigate this bug, we would need the contents of the /var/log/dist-upgrade folder, so please compress it and attach to this bug report.

Jeremy:

In a terminal, type

tar cfz ~/upgrade-log.tar.gz /var/log/dist-upgrade/

Then click on "Add attachment or patch" below, and select the file upgrade-log.tar.gz in your home directory.

I can attach mine if Jeremy is unable to.

Hi Robin,

I can't seem to be able to open a classic terminal, i.e. one that looks
like a DOS window in Windows?

Typing the command in the Applications Window top line doesn't seem to
do anything. My home directory doesn't have it.

I assume that the ~ symbol means "Home Directory"?

Help!!

Thanks,

Jeremy.
