Upgrade from terminal failes - Could not calculate the upgrade (11.04->11.10)

Upgrade from Ubuntu 11.04 to 11.10 fails with the error "Could not calculate the upgrade" when first tried to upgrade by terminal.

Upgrade was first tried with the command "sudo do-release-upgrade -d" which also failed. Output of this command can be view in the attached logged.

Then trying with the GUI upgrade manager you get the following error:

An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.
Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:
'E:Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.'
