Bug Description

Kubuntu oneiric, packages up to date as of 2011-10-06.

I upgraded into oneiric from natty, where I had the 64-bit version of Skype from natty/partner. The older package only depends on ia32-libs for its needed 32-bit libraries, so it wouldn't start due to missing Qt4 libraries that nowadays aren't included in ia32-libs. I figured Skype merely hadn't made it into oneiric, but I had skype:i386 pointed out to me on IRC.

Installing oneiric skype:i386 properly removed natty skype:amd64, but upgrading packages didn't do this for me automatically. There doesn't seem to be any virtual skype:amd64 package that would transition into skype:i386 instead.

If it affects ubiquity instead, then perhaps it should also affect update-manager-core. At least in my case the upgrade was done with do-release-upgrade -d.

affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) → update-manager (Ubuntu)
