Bug Description
update-manger crashed during a distribution upgrade from 11.04 to 11.10 Beta 1. It crashed immediately after upgrading packages, but before the cleanup step. When trying to run update-manager again, my sudo password was not accepted; the computer needed to be rebooted in order for the password to be accepted again.
