Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

I upgraded my system from Ubuntu 10.04 to 10.10 today and used the "upgrade-manager -d" command to do so.

Expected behavior:
Upgrade finishes happily and, upon rebooting my machine, I am prompted to unlock my encrypted home partition.

Actual behavior:
The upgrade tool determines that cryptsetup should be removed. Upgrade finishes. Upon reboot, the partition is not decrypted and I have to skip the mount to boot.

The fix:
Installing cryptsetup post-upgrade adds the module to the kernel and the machine boots as expected.

---

I have no idea why the upgrade tool decided to remove cryptsetup.
