Bug Description
I ran an update-manager upgrade today and it sat during the "modifying software channels" stage for about 5 minutes while us.archive.
Although u-m can't do anything about conditions to the internet it would be nice if it made some kind of notification to the user after X amount of inactivity, I was under the impression that the application had crashed, when in fact it was waiting for network connectivity.
