Bug Description

Binary package hint: initramfs-tools

For a long time I've been following the "best practise" of installing /boot/ into a separate partition, which normally is not mounted during runtime. Obviously, this causes problems when automatic ubuntu updates try to write files there. A warning should be added before the update process, if /boot/ is expected to be mounted, but isn't.

ProblemType: Package

Package: initramfs-tools 0.92bubuntu78

update-initramfs doesn't mount/umount boot. So reassigning for update-manager.

affects: initramfs-tools (Ubuntu) → update-manager (Ubuntu)
summary: - package initramfs-tools 0.92bubuntu78 failed to install/upgrade:
- subprocess installed post-installation script killed by signal
- (Interrupt)
