Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-manager
Update manager appeared, announcing new updates. I entered my password at the admin prompt, but wanted to keep working while the updates were installed, so I minimized the update manager window. A second later, it popped up again with the "downloading packages" progress window. I minimized that, and shortly afterwards it popped up again with the "installing software" window. (Ironically, it says "Please wait, this can take some time". I know that - it's why I tried to minimize update manager!) I minimized that window. From this point on, update manager stayed minimized. When I restored the window a few minutes later, package installation was completed and it was displaying "your system is up-to-date".
What I expected to happen: the update manager window should have stayed minimized while downloading and installing updates.
What happened instead: the update manager window repeatedly un-minimized itself, which was distracting and unnecessary.
This is update-manager 1:0.134.9 on Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx, up-to-date with all packages as of today.
