Trying to upgrade Ubuntu/kubuntu to 10.04

Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-manager
i have all update installed and tried updating using the update manager in ubuntu and as well as kubuntu to upgrade to latest version 10.04. But it is not allowing me. Please let me know how it can be done now. I tried even the alternate cd to upgrade but it also fails.
