Expected successful upgrade.
Saw error message:
"The upgrade is now aborted. Your system could be in an unusable state. A recovery will now run (dpkg --configure -a). Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the files in /var/log/

Appears to have been resolved by running kde4/libexec/ kdesu
$ sudo dpkg-divert --remove /usr/lib/
To undo a fix for (and proposed in the comments of) /bugs.launchpad .net/ubuntu/ +source/ kdesudo/ +bug/345776

$ sudo apt-get -f upgrade
dpkg --configure -a shows no conflicts now.
$ sudo dpkg --configure -a
