Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-manager
Processing triggers for initramfs-tools ...
I installed hardy (using the alternate installer, openssh-server as the only
task selected) on an apple TV. Only changes from default were:
comment out this line in /etc/modprobe.
#blacklist vesafb
add the following lines to /etc/initramfs-
fbcon
vesafb
8139too
then I ran
update-initramfs -u
and rebooted.
Then I ran
do-release-upgrade -d, which said:
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.
cpio: ./etc/modprobe.
update-initramfs: failed for /boot/initrd.
dpkg: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Exception during pm.DoInstall(): E:Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)
Could not install the upgrades
The upgrade is now aborted. Your system could be in an unusable
state. A recovery will run now (dpkg --configure -a).
