Changes tab in "Details" is always empty

Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-manager
Suddenly update-manager 0.42.2ubuntu22 in Dapper started to display only an empty changes tab. If I select a package in the list, one line of text is displayed but vanishes too fast to read it.
It always worked fine, this started around the time Dapper was released.
