update manager problem while upgrading to 9.10

Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

That was the message i was shown during upgrade and after it upgrade has stopped.
This happened several times but finally i managed to upgrade my system!

"Μη έγκυρες πληροφορίες πακέτου

Μετά την ανανέωση των πληροφοριών του πακέτου σας το απαραίτητο πακέτο 'ubuntu-minimal' δεν μπορεί πλέον να βρεθεί.
Αυτό υποδεικνύει ένα σημαντικό σφάλμα και σας παρακαλούμε να αναφέρετε το σφάλμα αυτό στο πακέτο 'update-manager' και να συμπεριλάβετε τα αρχεία του /var/log/dist-upgrade/ στην αναφορά σφάλματος."

And in English:

"Invalid package information

After updating of the package you need the package 'ubuntu-minimal' can no longer be found.
This indicates a significant error and please report the error in the pack 'update-manager' and include the files in / var / log / dist-upgrade / in the error."

1)I'm using Ubuntu 9.10(9.04 when the bug appeared)
2)"update-manager" installed version 1:0.126.6
3)I expected to upgrade from Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10.
4)After the above message the upgrade process crashed.
