Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-manager
Ran "update-manager -d" on Jaunty box to get it to Karmic RC. update-manager froze, grayed out, and locked up X. Power cycled machine, cleaned up /etc/fstab (new version used UUIDs instead of /dev/sdax), remounted rw, fixed fstab back to original /dev entries, rebooted, ran "dpkg --configure -a", and got machine to boot properly.
