Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-manager
Hi,
There seems to have been a regression between 9.04 and 9.10a6 (with latest updates). Update Manager (and Ubuntu Software Store) don't seem to respect my Proxy Authentication settings even though they are entered into both Synaptic and Gnome Proxy Settings (applied "System-wide").
Using Synaptic to "Mark all upgrades" works fine, and I get packages. However both USS and UM both return 407 errors when trying to get packages (or do the reload/refresh).
This was a fresh install from the 9.10a6 CD. Behind a work squid proxy using windows domain authentication. UM worked fine in 9.04, and tbh, I'd rather be using UM instead of actively going into Synaptic and looking for updates.
I've attached the apport-cli log as we can't talk to the server from inside our firewall (I'm guessing it's on a non-standard HTTP port).
Hope this helps,
Thanks,
