Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

The "applying changes" dialog is where progress of downloads is shown (amongst other things). It cannot be resize by mouse (edges do not show resize cursor) nor by context menu where resize is grayed out.

This is a problem for me because information it displays is truncated. For example I only see the first digit of the download speed and hence have no idea if it is 3 bytes per second or 313 kb per second and hence no idea how long the download will take.
