Bug Description
update-manager 1:0.1.246, Ubuntu Karmic alpha 4
1. Make a clean install of Ubuntu.
2. Launch Update Manager before the list of packages has been updated.
What happens: Update Manager opens with a window that is oddly narrow.
What should happen: The window should be wider by default.
It may save time to fix bug 40792 at the same time as this bug.
