Bug Description
Ubuntu 9.04, update-manager 1:0.111.9
I've enabled automatic installation of critical (security) updates. This conflicts with the behavior of the update manager. The update manager checks for new updates and shows the update dialog if there are critical and normal updates while installing the critical updates in the background. If you click Install in the dialog it will fail since it can't get the lock because there is already the installation of the critical updates running.

Thanks for your bugreport.
When running in auto-open mode, update-notifier will now check for that and not auto-open for security updates because it knows that they are applied unattended.
