Binary package hint: update-manager

When I want to update jaunty, synaptic or command line ap-get update can not download files, in french:

"W: Impossible de récupérer http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/jaunty/Release.gpg Ne parvient pas à résoudre « http »,

resolved:
in the gnome interface, the proxy has been changed without my intervention.
Now it is OK
